Founded in 1946, Birmingham Audubon is Alabama’s leading non-profit organization engaging people in the enjoyment and conservation of birds, their habitats, and the natural world. A certified chapter of the National Audubon Society serving central Alabama (Jefferson, Shelby, Bibb, Blount, Chilton, St. Clair, and Walker Counties), we incorporated as a state non-profit corporation on November 22, 1974, and were granted 501(c)3 status as a charitable non-profit organization in 1976.
