History:

The school is named after the Town of Berthoud. Berthoud became part of the Thompson District in 1962. With new construction in 1999, the square footage is now 216,000. The community auditorium seats 500 people.

Belief Statement:

We believe that our business is kids. The benefits of all students should be paramount in all of our decisions and behaviors. The purpose of school is to provide all students the opportunity to learn and become responsible, productive citizens/ that everyone should be learning and growing. Experimentation with new ideas is encouraged, supported, and rewarded. We have a strong tradition of high expectations of ourselves and of our students. Where possible, decisions are arrived at cooperatively and collaboratively by those people working at the building level, for schools improve because of their efforts. All students have the right to learn without interference from others.
