About Us:

Together Sam and Shawnda nurture their passion for food, wine, and farming with the joy of sharing their wine country lifestyle with family, friends, and guests. In 1995, the Bernat vineyard was planted and the Los Olivos Cafe was founded.  In 2000, as their family grew, so did their businesses with the addition of the Los Olivos Wine Merchant.  The Bernat Retreats, located on their private property have most recently added another way for people to experience the beauty of the Santa Barbara Wine Country and its' peaceful way of life.  Together their family tends to their ten acres; four of which grow the CCOF certified organic vines that produce their Bernat Estate Wines.
