About

The Berkshire Art Gallery, located at 80 Railroad Street, opened in 1995 in Great Barrington, MA. The Gallery features listed artists of the 19th and 20th century whose paintings are in the finest private collections and museums in the country. The Gallery also sells selections from contemporary Berkshire artists. The Berkshire Art Gallery is a well-known destination for beginning and serious art collectors, alike. It has been featured in numerous art news and travel guides because of its museum quality pieces, and affordable prices.

The Gallery is owned and operated by Jack Wood, a member of the Appraisers Association of America and the New England Appraisers Association. Wood is a past chair of the board of the Chesterwood Museum, Stockbridge, MA, the summer residence and studio of the American Renaissance sculptor, Daniel Chester French.

The Berkshire Art Gallery, a pleasingly appointed and comfortable 1200 square foot space, is located in the heart of Great Barrington's fine restaurant district and an area with many boutiques, antique shops and other galleries. Hours are noon to 5PM, Saturday and Sunday, year round, or by appointment or chance.
