Baltimore Streetcar Museum

1901 Falls Road
Baltimore, MD 21211

Located on Falls Road near North Avenue Baltimore's Streetcar museum is dedicated to preserving Baltimore's mass transit past. As late as the 1940's over a thousand streetcars criss-crossed the city on 25 routes and over 300 miles of track. Seventeen years later the last car rolled off the track. The museum features displays telling the history of Streetcars in Baltimore. Its extensive rolling stock includes a Brownell Car from 1896, a turn of the century summer car, and one of the last streetcars ordered by the city until the construction of the Light Rail line. The cars are not for display only. A miniature line offers visitors rides on these historic vehicles. Guided tours of the carhouse are also included with admission.
