Ballet Theatre Midwest, a non-profit organization, enriches the community through excellence in educational partnerships, classical dance training and professional level performances.
Founded in 2004, Ballet Theatre Midwest provides a pre-professional classical ballet training and performance program, an engaging children’s curriculum, creative dance for 3 and 4 year olds, and supplemental training in jazz, modern and tap repertoires.
The classical ballet technical training program utilizes a syllabus combining elements of the Royal Academy of Dance and Vaganova training methods. This method has produced dancers for professional companies in the United States and Europe.
Performing is a necessary part of dance training. Ballet Theatre Midwest's vision is to establish a Professional Performance Ensemble and youth ballet that creates and preserves full-length ballets designed to entertain the entire family. Dancers of all ages have a chance to dance in a number of performances throughout the year.
