About Us:

Babe’s Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse opened in 2002 by Donald Warren Callender (1927-2009) of Marie Callender’s restaurants. A Bar-B-Que restaurant with a built-in brewery, the first of its kind in the Coachella Valley and quite possibly all of Southern California. Don’s cooking can still be tasted in the restaurant today as we hold all our family recipes sacred. Just about everything in our restaurant is made from scratch, fresh, and taste-tested daily. Our classic baby-back and St. Louis ribs are smoked over hickory and pecan wood for four hours in our southern pride smoker. They are known to always fall right off the bone and have a pink smoke ring just under the surface. People also fall in love with our pulled pork sandwiches and boneless beef short ribs. Not only do people come for our Bar-B-Que, but our pies, tamales, and cornbread as well. We take pride in serving great American homestyle food under a southwest-cowboy style ambiance. Don’t forget our beers brewed on premise that pair well with just about any dish! Known as the oldest microbrewery in the Coachella Valley, our brewery took home “The Brewery of the Year” award in 2015 at the California State Fair and a Silver Medal in the 2014 Great American Beer Festival. Thats why folks all around the desert and greater Southern California have chosen Babe’s as there go-to destination for great Bar-B-Que, ice cold brews, and an all around fabulous dining experience.
