About

Azalea Sands opened in 1972 right in the heart of Myrtle Beach. Designed by golf course architect, Gene Hamm, this is one of the classics on the Myrtle Beach golf scene. It has the reputation for offering great golf for all ages, and is one of the few courses along the Grand Strand that has no homes adjoining the course. It is easy to be deceived by Azalea’s open layout. From the tips she plays 6902 yards and offers a great challenge for any golfer. From the whites, Azalea offers up a fun 6287 yard round. From the Gold, it’s an inviting 5958 yards. From the ladies (red tees), it plays 5148 yards. Choose the tee that best suits your game and go have some fun. This ia a course that will make you play every club in your bag regardless of the tee you choose. The fairways and greens are generous and the greens role very true.
