Atascosa County Genealogical Society Library

About the Library:
Our not for profit Society is dedicated to collecting, documenting, preserving and disseminating our county history. Also, to foster education in genealogical research through Society meetings, workshops, seminars and "Show and Tell" sessions. We want to bring back the stories, living history and documents that have been filed away and forgotten. We want to research, organize and consolidate historical information of all types, and make it available in our library for our members and individuals with an interest in Atascosa county. We have an extensive collection of information on Texas and Atascosa county. The Atascosa County Genealogical Society Library is located in the town of Poteet, Atascosa county, Texas, due South of San Antonio and Bexar county Texas. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and our membership is open to anyone with an interest in genealogy.
