The Ashland Public Library is a member of the Pottsville District. Today there are 17,133 cataloged items including books, videocassettes, audiocassettes, and periodicals.

Any Schuylkill County resident may obtain a borrower's card by visiting the library and showing identification with a current address. The signature of a parent or guardian is required for children under 12 years of age. We also impose a $5.00 non-resident fee for a library card.

The library also provides public access to the internet. Patrons under 18 years of age must have parental permission to access the internet. There are 8 computers available for public use, including 4 new computers, which we received through a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.
