About Us:

The natural attributes that make North Florida a desirable place to live are being challenged by our rapidly growing population. In response to this increased development pressure, The Apalachee Land Conservancy was established in 1984 by a core group of Leon County residents.

Since its establishment, the Conservancy has acquired interest in environmentally sensitive lands such as floodplains and wetlands, urban and suburban greenspace, and critical wildlife habitats.

The Conservancy has also worked to restore wildlife habitat to critical linkages of greenspace, facilitating greenway corridor establishment.
