At Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC), our mission is to enhance the health of the people we serve, and our vision is to be the destination health system in our region. We provide acute inpatient and outpatient care on a non-profit basis to the residents of Anne Arundel County, Calvert and Prince George's counties and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

AAMC is located on the Medical Park campus just off Jennifer Road, east of the Annapolis Mall. It is easily accessed from Route 50, Bestgate Road, Jennifer Road and Route 2.

AAMC is the third largest private sector employer in Anne Arundel County, with a workforce of more than 2,800 full and part time employees. In addition, there are nearly 750 members of the medical staff.

More than 5,500 babies are born each year at AAMC, ranking second in the state for the greatest number of births.  The Level IIIb Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the only one in the county and cares for more than 500 critically ill infants annually.  The Clatanoff Pavilion is home to the AAMC Women's and Children's Center and offers all private rooms in a peaceful, nurturing environment.

At the AAMC Geaton and JoAnn DeCesarsis Cancer Institute, patients find a world-class environment as well as a warm, highly personalized and caring environment and a compassionate team of caregivers sensitive to the emotional and physical aspects of cancer.  Accredited by the American College of Surgeons, the DeCesaris Cancer Institute is committed to providing the latest tools in fighting cancer including robotic surgery, PET/CT, IMRT, and stereotactic radiosurgery. The hospital has formed a strategic affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine to bring together a wide range of experts and clinical programs from both institutions to provide increased access to quality medical care for patients in the region.

More than 1,000 joint replacements are performed each year at the AAMC Joint Center. The program, including "Joint Camp" for recovery, has a world class reputation as a model Joint Center with physicians from around the world coming to AAMC to learn from the Center's clinical experts.

The AAMC Brain Center has the most advanced techniques and technology coupled with a multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, oncologists, neurologists, and radiation oncologists to treat disease and disorders of the brain.

The AAMC Spine Center is second in the state in the number of total spine surgeries, and its surgeons perform more spinal fusions than anywhere else in Maryland. Neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons often work in tandem to bring the expertise of both specialties to the operating room. For non surgical treatment, these specialists along with interventional radiologists and pain specialists provide the latest in technology for pain management.
