Andrew Jackson State Park combines history, art and community activities into a setting that has made it one of the S.C. State Park Service’s most popular attractions.
Popular features of the park include living history programs, an Andrew Jackson museum that details his boyhood in the South Carolina backcountry and a birthday celebration held each March in honor of the seventh President of the United States of America.
Other park attractions include an 18th-century replica schoolhouse, campground and picnic facilities, fishing lake and nature trails.
Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing for bass, bream, catfish and crappie in the 18-acre park lake. The bream in this lake are catch and release. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required. Guests may try their luck from the bank, from the handicap accessible fishing pier or from a rental jon boat.
