Anderson Fields Golf Course

1901 North Bloomington Street
Streator, IL 61364

815-672-3702

Anderson Fields was built as a 9 hole golf links in the early 1920's and was officially dedicated on July 4th, 1925. Andrew H. "Andy" Anderson built the course at his own expense on the property of the old "Streator Trotting and Fair Association" which was destroyed by a tornado in 1903. Andy Anderson opened the course to the public and charged a nominal fee so all who wanted to play golf in Streator could do so. On October 19, 1942, Mr. Anderson transferred the deed to the property along with $505.59 to the City of Streator and stated, "I hope that you will accept these funds and the conveyance to the City and that the City will carry on the institution for the public, either as a golf links or for any other recreational purposes should a change of its use seem desirable at some time in the future."

Anderson Fields remains a 9 hole public course and little has changed with its design since 1925. However, in 2008, a new club house along with golf cart storage and maintenance facility was built by the City allowing Andy Anderson's vision to continue for years to come.

The course is a 2688 yard par 35 for the men and 2364 yard par 37 for the ladies. There are no tee times required and the course is open March through November, seven days a week, weather permitting. We hope to see you soon.
