Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center - Medical

Every medical patient at ANHC works with a primary care team, which includes a primary care provider and nursing support. Staff are actively involved in your care.  Depending upon your preference, your primary care provider may be a physician, physician’s assistant, or nurse practitioner.  You may request a male or female medical provider. Translation services are provided on request, at no additional fee.

Your medical provider serves as a team leader and coordinates all routine medical care: exams, lab tests, medical imaging, diagnosis, and treatment. In addition, your provider is concerned about emotional and lifestyle factors-such as stress, diet, substance abuse, or high-risk sexual behavior-that affect your health.

When appropriate, your team will refer you to other resources such as mental health, complementary therapies, or addiction services professionals.
