Allison Pond Park
Activities in this tranquil Staten Island park center around its picturesque pond. On warm days, fishers cast a line off its banks while nearby turtles and egrets laze around the water. Come winter, the pond freezes over and bundled-up skaters glide over its surface. Outside the pond, visitors can stroll through the trail that meanders through the park, and in the early morning dog owners let their pets run through its off-leash area.
