History

Robert and Rheda Hall, a young married couple, decided to make Albany, GA, their home in 1957 after completing their tour of duty in the Army at Ft. Benning.

Having enjoyed Putt-Putt golf on their dates in Columbus, GA, they were disappointed to find that Albany did not have a Putt-Putt. It was not long before they had contacted the home office in Fayetteville, NC, and obtained a franchise for an 18 hole Putt-Putt. The location where they found a rundown 18 hole miniature golf course was at the end of N. Slappey Blvd. They spent the remainder of the year renovating the course and finally opened for business in the spring of 1958. A couple of years later, they decided to open a second course. In 1972, the by-pass was to take a third of their courses. At that time, they decided to bulldoze the old courses and build a modern 3-course Putt-Putt (54 holes).

In 1982, video games were becoming very popular, so the Halls enlarged their building to accommodate 25 video games and a small concession area. When the games kept growing in popularity, the two expanded the game room two more times. The game room now accommodates over 70 games with kiddie rides for the smaller children.

By this time, the Halls realized that they would need additional staff, and their nephew, James "Buddie" Blackwell and wife, Cheryl, joined them.

Since then, the Halls along with Blackwell have added batting cages, bumper boats, go-karts, lazer tag, a virtual coaster, a large snack area, and nice facilities.

In December 2004, the Halls decided to change their name to the All American Fun Park, because they now feature other attractions in addition to miniature golf. Most recently, the All American Fun Park added a new attraction. The state-of-the-art bowling center opened on November 26, 2008. The local facility has entertained school, civic, and church groups as well as having thousands of birthday parties over the years. They are happy to provide a clean, wholesome place for families to come and enjoy an outing together and a great place for couples to come on their dates.
