Algonac Clay Historical Society - Maritime Museum

1117 St. Clair River Dr
Algonac, MI 48001

It is occupying the old Fifth Third Bank Building which was donated to the Society in 2012. Since the donation, Society members have been busy preparing one room as a "sneak peak" of the vision: to provide additional space to preserve and exhibit the area's rich Maritime History.

Presently the exhibits include but are  not limited to an ice boat built by Chris Smith and donated by son Alan, a 1949 Chris-Craft runabout, many motors and models, a kit boat made by the Algonac High School Shop class, a race boat patterened after the boats raced on the River in the 1940s and 50s by our kids and the exhibit information about each display.
