About Us:
Adventist Health began its heritage of healing in Hanford in 1965 when it built the new Hanford Community Hospital on Greenfield Avenue. As the city grew, the hospital system added 20,000 square feet to the Hanford building in 1986, a Business and Education Center in 1990 and the adjacent three-story Kerr Outpatient Center in 1993.

The hospital, renamed Hanford Community Medical Center in 1988, currently features a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit, a 15-bed Emergency Department and a 56-bed Medical/Surgical Unit. Other services include surgery, laboratory and radiology as well as home care and hospice.

Hanford Community is part of Adventist Health, a not-for-profit, faith-based health system operating in California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington. Founded on the Seventh-day Adventist heritage of Christian health care, Adventist Health comprises 20 hospitals with more than 3,100 beds, 18,800 employees, numerous clinics and outpatient facilities, 16 home care agencies, and three joint-venture retirement centers.
