Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1 to 2 p.m.: Get an overview of expenses and savings with Financial Basics at 50+, at the Corryville Branch Library, 2802 Short Vine St.
Immediately following that at the library, from 3 to 4 p.m., is the workshop 10 Tips to Retirement, which will cover retirement saving, planning and timing.
Wednesday, Sept. 25, 1 to 2 p.m.: Learn more about benefits and options by participating in Social Security 101, a workshop at the North Central Branch Library, 11109 Hamilton Ave.
That session will be followed by Medicare 101, also at the library, which will provide an overview of Medicare coverage, costs and plans. The workshop will run from 3 to 4 p.m.
Register for all these events online at aarp.org/cincinnati or by calling 877-926-8300.
Cincinnati-area organizations can request free workshops on these topics, as well as seminars that cover fraud protection, by emailing cincinnati@aarp.org.
Presentations cover trends in fraud, including the dark web, online romance scams and impostors who pretend to be government agency officials.
