Workshop on Dementia With Rosalynn Carter Institute

Posted on 04/30/21 by The AARP Bulletin

Dementia is a challenge for those with the condition and their caregivers. AARP Tennessee is working to ease the burden, collaborating with the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving to present the Dealing With Dementia virtual workshop on Tuesday, June 1, at 1 p.m. CT.

The session provides tips and strategies for caregivers on looking after their loved ones and themselves. The goal is to give caregivers a better understanding of dementia, how to provide the best care and how to handle stress and burnout.

Attendees will get a copy of the Dealing with Dementia Guide. Some 120,000 Tennesseans over 65 suffer from Alzheimer’s disease.
