Women and Exercise: A winning combination

Exercise can help you get healthier, and it can also improve your quality of life as you age. When it comes to physical activity, men have women beat.

AARP in Brownsville wants to help educate women on the benefits of exercise. It's holding its first-ever Women's Health Forum to educate you and others. The event will be Tuesday, November 5 at the Brownsville Event Center. It's located at 1 Events Center Dr. in Brownsville. The 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. conference is open to women of all ages.

The event will look at health issues affecting your heart, teeth, and other areas. There will be yoga demonstrations and simple exercises you can do at home to stay healthy. Come by, get a health screening and talk to health and wellness vendors at the event.
