Webinar Wednesdays: From Music to Memory to Money
Award-winning musician Barry Wiesenfeld believes in the power of music to transform lives — just like his life changed when he watched the Beatles perform on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964.
“The Beatles came along and they entered my being completely and changed the way I think about music,” says Wiesenfeld, 74, who will be featured in an upcoming AARP Montana webinar series.
Wiesenfeld, based in New York’s Hudson Valley, has a passion for what he calls the Three Bs of Music: Beatles, Beethoven and Bach. His live online lecture series of the same name showcases the lives and sounds of Ludwig, Johann, John, Paul, George and Ringo. One of those lectures — “Learning Ludwig” — will be an AARP Montana offering during Webinar Wednesdays, a yearlong series of presentations on topics of interest to Montanans 50-plus.
“Those three entities were pioneers,” Wiesenfeld says. “They all took the music that they were born into and changed the music for the future.”
AARP Montana is offering Wiesenfeld’s presentation as part of a series on the connections between music and brain health. Webinar Wednesdays — covering topics ranging from brain health to estate planning and fraud prevention — is offered online at 10 a.m. on the first Wednesday of most months.
