Warm Up Your Thursdays in Detroit

Posted on 12/29/25 by Sadie Shattuck

Looking for a cozy way to spend an afternoon, connect with your neighbors and learn something new?

AARP Michigan's monthly series invites you to slow down, sip on a cup of tea and enjoy a welcoming community space designed for learning, laughter and connection. You'll find delicious tea and cookies waiting for you, along with friendly faces and thought-provoking topics selected to support your wellbeing and curiosity.

While you unwind, AARP Michigan will guide you through a rotating lineup of helpful, uplifting programs. From practical conversations about financial security and avoiding scams, to hands-on sessions focused on decluttering, brain health or other timely topics, Tea at 3 with AARP is crafted to inspire, inform and spark connection.

Join AARP Michigan every fourth Thursday at 3:00 p.m. for Tea at 3 with AARP, a delightful in-person gathering at the Detroit Public Library Parkman Branch, that blends warm conversation, light refreshments and engaging educational programming.

So mark your calendar and join us at the Detroit Public Library, Parkman Branch (1766 Oakman Blvd., Detroit, MI), for tea, treats and thoughtful programming.

Register at the links below. Bookmark this page and check back often as more topics will be announced as the series continues!

February 26: Fraud Prevention
March 26: Decluttering

We can't wait to share a cup with you!
