Volunteer with us at AARP Illinois!

Posted on 02/03/25

Whether you can spare a few hours or commit long term, you can make a difference — and new friends, too! AARP Illinois offers both remote and in-person volunteer opportunities, and provides training and support to enhance your experience.

Join us at an upcoming Community Event! Our expert speakers will cover the latest trends in fraud prevention, offer guidance on how to begin your decluttering and downsizing journey, explain the essentials of Medicare, and provide valuable insights into Social Security.

So far in 2025, AARP Volunteers advocated in the Capital and in their home districts for a total of 23,610 minutes or 394 hours between February and June—more than double the time recorded during the same period last year. This led to meaningful lobbying and the passage of laws important to those 50+ and their families!

Volunteers also led 787 advocacy actions this year: including emails, phone calls, and both virtual and in-person meetings with state legislators and officials.

Join our efforts to do more impactful volunteer work this year!
