Volunteer with friends at AARP

Posted on 01/02/25

As an AARP volunteer, you know the impact we can make together with our communities. You’ve seen firsthand the power of connection, advocacy, and education in improving the lives of older adults. Through your dedication to service, you have helped create the foundation of a strong volunteer team—and now, we need your help to grow our ranks and expand our reach!

By encouraging others to get involved, you can amplify our impact and ensure that all Washingtonians have access to the resources, information, and support they need to live their best lives. We especially need your help connecting us with passionate individuals for two key types of volunteer service:

🌟 Community Ambassadors – Engage with local events, represent AARP in the community, serve as a voice for older adults on priority issues, and share valuable resources to help empower our communities.

🎤 Speakers Bureau – Educate and inspire by leading or supporting presentations on important topics such as family caregiving, brain health, and fraud prevention—in-person or online.

Do you know someone who might be interested in joining the team? Please encourage them to email us at aarpwa@aarp.org and learn new ways to make a difference in their communities today!

We are hosting monthly new volunteer orientation sessions, so now is always a great time to join!
