Volunteer to Help Fellow Nebraskans

Posted on 02/28/23 by The AARP Bulletin

AARP is recruiting volunteers in Omaha for a variety of opportunities. Community members are needed to make presentations on fighting fraud and promoting livable neighborhood initiatives that support the needs of older residents.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, AARP Nebraska needs to rebuild its group of fraud educators in Omaha. The volunteers are part of the Speakers Bureau, which gives presentations at service clubs, faith groups, senior centers, libraries and other local organizations. Training is provided.

Help is also needed for activities and outreach directed to veterans, such as organizing parade units and calling AARP members who are veterans with information and resources. To learn more about AARP volunteer opportunities, send an email to neaarp@aarp.org or call 866-389-5651.
