Are you looking for ways to make a difference in our community and “give back”, particularly to your fellow 50+ Gem Staters? If so, we would love to share how AARP Idaho is working to ensure that Idaho residents have choice, control and independence through every stage of their lives. Please join us for a volunteer team building workshop at our Boise office.

What can you expect?

The meeting will last from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM on October 3rd at the AARP State Office (250 S. 5th Street, Suite 800) in Boise. AARP ID veterans’ outreach volunteers, John Spurny and Tom Ressler, will brief you on our efforts to reach Idaho’s veterans, our partnership with the Veterans’ of Foreign Wars (VFW), and let you know about upcoming volunteer opportunities at veterans’ events.

Afterwards, we you'll you'll join us for an optional social hour at a local restaurant within walking distance. We will host non-alcoholic drinks and appetizers. This is our way of saying thank you for the work you have done in the last month as well as taking the opportunity to get to know each of you a bit better.

Let us know you are coming!

Although you are always welcome, it is always nice to know which of our friends are planning to join us. Please register for the meeting here.

On behalf of the Idaho AARP Team, thank you for being a volunteer. We are always open to any suggestions you might have to make this network better. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting on October 3rd.
