Attendees at the Johnson County Home and Garden show in Overland Park can stop by AARP in Kansas City’s booth to learn ways to adapt and renovate their homes to live in for a lifetime. AARP’s display will be in Booth 1409.
AARP in Kansas City will be among more than 300 exhibitors and experts ready share information about home remodeling and home improvement at the show, March 8, 9, and 10, at the Overland Park Convention Center at 6000 College Blvd. in Overland Park, KS.
Visitors to AARP in Kansas City’s booth will receive a free HomeFit Guide, which includes instructions for do-it-yourself projects and suggestions for professional improvements designed to help homeowners age in place.
“We want to connect with the community and share some of the great AARP resources available to help people live their best lives,” said Diane Hall, AARP in Kansas City’s community outreach director.
AARP members who show their card at the booth will receive a special gift. And anyone who stops by can enter into a drawing for a HomeFit Kit, a collection of tools and resources to get people started on adapting their home to fit their needs at any stage of life.
The Johnson County Home and Garden Show hours are: Friday:10:00 am – 9:00 pm, Saturday: 10:00 am – 9:00 pm, and Sunday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. Admission to the show is $13 for adults and free for children ages 12 and younger. Discounts on tickets are available online.
