Virtual Tour of Goodridge Freedom Center

July 20, 2021 -- AARP Pennsylvania, in collaboration with the Goodridge Freedom Center in York, Crispus Attucks York and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts offered a virtual tour detailing the narrative of York’s Underground Railroad.
The virtual webinar featured five living history interpreters who recounted the story of the Underground Railroad and Station Master William C. Goodridge, who rose from slavery to become one of the wealthiest African Americans in South Central Pennsylvania while risking it all to smuggle slaves to freedom on the Underground Railroad.
