Virtual Sessions Get Word Out on Scams

Posted on 12/31/20 by The AARP Bulletin

Scammers are devising new ways to take advantage of people during the coronavirus pandemic. AARP Idaho has facts about the latest scams and tips on how to avoid them.

AARP Idaho offers virtual fraud presentations and is seeking volunteers to join its cadre of speakers who get the word out. Volunteers will be trained as Fraud Watch Network communicators to help people avoid becoming victims of identity theft, Medicare fraud and a variety of other swindles.

Groups requesting an online forum, and members who want to volunteer, should email aarpid@aarp.org.
