AARP Los Angeles is staying connected with you through virtual events. Here’s what we have lined up for June.  

Local Virtual Events

LA Soul Steppers: Tuesday, June 8 at 6 am
Keep your body and mind active! Join the Los Angeles Soul Steppers for an hour of physical activity from the comfort of your own home. Coach Erich Nall will guide you through stretching and stepping techniques.  Learn more and register HERE. This virtual event is free and open to the public.

Tea & Coffee Tuesdays: Tuesday, June 8 at 9 am
The pandemic has reignited a passion for gardening but how will California’s drought impact gardening? Join us for Tea & Coffee Tuesdays for a conversation with certified landscaper, Cindy Sparks Bruecks, about gardening during a drought. The master gardener and edible landscape trainer will also share how to make the most of gardening, whether you live in an apartment or have a backyard.  Click HERE to register today. Take PRIDE in Caregiving – Join us for a LGBT Caregiver Event: Friday, June 11 at 10 am
Caregiving can be both a rewarding and challenging experience. AARP has resources and programs to help you navigate the caregiving journey. Join us for a FREE LGBT Prepare to Care workshop, where participants will learn about caregiving resources and techniques, specific to the LGBT and allies community.  Click HERE to register.
