Virginia Beach Tax Information Workshop

Have questions about the latest IRS tax changes? Wondering how property taxes are calculated? Officials will have answers at a tax information workshop from 1 – 3:15 p.m. Friday, March 15 at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, Folio & Libris Meeting Rooms, 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA 23452.

Representatives of the IRS SPEC (Stakeholder Partnerships, Education and Communication) program, the Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS), Virginia Beach Commissioner of the Revenue and other organizations will give presentations and answer questions. The event is hosted by the staff of U.S. Congresswoman Jen Kiggans.

Workshop agenda:

1:00 p.m. – Welcome by Congressional staff

1:05 p.m. – IRS SPEC (Stakeholder Partnerships, Education and Communication)

1:15 p.m. – Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS)

1:30 p.m. – Office of the Virginia Beach Commissioner of the Revenue.

1:45 p.m. – Intermission, resource fair and refreshments

2:00 p.m. – JessiKa Eglin, Associate State Director for AARP Virginia

2:15 p.m. – Dr. Dorothy David, Director of LIFE Financial Assistance Organization

2:30 p.m. – Anita Wyche of Bank On

2:40 p.m. – Nolan Bursch and Jonathan Gragnano, office of Congresswoman Kiggans

2:50 p.m. – Informal time for attendees to browse and speak with presenters.
