Veterans Day Lunch to Honor Heroes

Veterans can enjoy a free lunch and special program as part of a Veterans Day event at the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum on Monday, Nov. 11.

AARP Nebraska is cosponsoring the event, which will feature the posting of the colors and a keynote speaker. Nebraska is home to more than 62,000 veterans age 65 or older.

The program is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; the museum is at 28210 West Park Highway, in Ashland.

Vets and active military members are encouraged to wear their uniforms and will receive free admission and lunch. The admission fee for the public is $6 for children, $12 for adults and $11 for seniors.
