Send Joy by Writing Cards to Older Adults
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we are partnering up with the non-profit organization ETHOS to do a service project that supports older adults in the Boston area. Help us share the love and combat feelings of social isolation by writing cards for older adults that receive services and housing from ETHOS. The mission of Ethos is: To promotes the independence, dignity, and well-being of the elderly and disabled. Ethos achieves its mission through the coordination and delivery of high-quality, affordable home and community-based care. In all aspects of its work Ethos supports family caregiving, fosters social interaction and respects cultural diversity.
When you register for this virtual community service project you will be given the instructions for the card writing project. All participants are responsible for purchasing or creating their own cards and mailing them to the ETHOS program director. When you register you will be given the address and other details needed. The deadline to mail all cards is January 20th, the day after MLK Jr. Day.
