The University of Washington's Center for an Informed Public, AARP and BECU invite you to join us for an upcoming training on “How to Become a Fact-Check Ambassador” on October 30.



WHAT: Join experts from the University of Washington's Information School and the Center for an Informed Public for an in-depth 60-minute training on how to become a fact-check ambassador. You will learn:

- How to spot misinformation in a variety of forms.
- The difference between misinformation and disinformation.
- How technology makes it easy to create false images that appear real.
- How to teach others to spot misinformation and avoid spreading it in others.
- Where to report misinformation when you see it.

WHEN: Friday, October 30, 2020 | 1:00PM - 2:30PM
