Time to sign up for Snow Angels
After the unseasonably warm October that Pittsburgh has had, it's hard to believe we'll be facing snow. But for some residents, the prospect of snow means worrying about how to deal with too much of the white stuff.
Fortunately, Pittsburgh's Snow Angels program is available to help. Pittsburgh residents that have a physical disability or are over age 60 can request a Snow Angel volunteer to help with snow removal.
To sign up, apply online at the website, print off the application and mail it in, or request an application by calling 412-255-2621.
Don't need a Snow Angel? Be one!
The program is also looking for volunteers. Snow Angels will match you with a nearby neighbor in need, and you'll be helping to make your community accessible for those who work outside in all weather. Volunteer online at the Snow Angels website.
