Thank You Representative Laura Sibilia For Helping to Bring Broadband to Rural VT

Laura Sibilia

Thanks to the leadership and persistence of Rep. Sibilia, an important broadband expansion bill passed in the Statehouse that will bring better internet access and connection to rural communities throughout Vermont. Many Vermont communities find themselves left out of the information economy because commercial broadband providers don’t find it profitable to serve them. H.513 will help bridge this unfair divide by giving these towns the resources they need to adopt broadband services.

Rep. Sibilia worked closely with AARP Vermont and other advocates to guide this legislation through the General Assembly and onto the Governor’s desk. Well done!!
