Due to the ongoing pandemic, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide services in Nebraska will be offered on a limited basis to ensure the safety of clients and the volunteers who provide the service. At the current time, there will be no in-person tax preparation. Assistance will be available by appointment only.
In addition, taxpayers may request assistance from volunteers in the following locations.
Beginning Feb. 25, interested taxpayers may leave a message at one of the numbers listed below. Tax-Aide volunteers will return calls to the interested taxpayers explaining the virtual tax preparation process, which will begin in March.
Volunteers will provide instructions to the taxpayer on how to scan and upload their tax documents.
There will also be limited opportunities for taxpayers without email access to make an appointment so that volunteers can scan and upload their tax documents for them.
Omaha metro contacts for those without Internet/email:
Tax-Aide volunteers will prepare returns remotely. For assistance, send email to Taxaidelink@gmail.com or call and leave a message at 402-327-1554 on or after Feb. 25.
Due to the volume of requests, there may be some delay in contacting taxpayers and scheduling an appointment.
To request Tax-Aide assistance, call (402) 542-0780 or send email to TaxaideGI@gmail.com. Callers should not leave messages prior to Feb. 25.
