Tax-Aide available in ND beginning in early February
The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program will be offered in four cities beginning in early February, including Bismarck/Mandan, Fargo/Moorhead, Grand Forks/East Grand Forks and Minot. Appointments are required for all sites and can be made beginning the last week of January.
Tax-Aide is the largest free volunteer-based tax preparation assistance program in the United States. The program provides services to anyone, but focuses on taxpayers over 50 with low to moderate incomes. Tax preparation is provided by volunteers who are trained and IRS certified each year to be sure they are up-to-date on the latest changes and additions to the tax code.
Appointments are required, and can be made by calling the number noted for each city.

Due to to overwhelming response to the Tax Aide program, you may experience delays in scheduling and appointments are expected to fill quickly. Please note: The IRS offers a free, online option for completing your tax return that can be found at IRS.gov. The ND Tax Department offers a ND Free File tool at www.tax.nd.gov/FreeFile to determine if you qualify to file your federal and state returns for free.
