Tap into Property Tax Rebate

Posted on 05/31/24 by The AARP Bulletin

Homeowners and renters in Pennsylvania have until Tuesday, December 31, to apply for a 2023 property tax rebate.

AARP Pennsylvania supported a 2023 law that expanded eligibility for the program and raised the maximum tax rebate from $650 to $1,000.

Paying ever-higher property taxes on a fixed income is one of the biggest obstacles older residents face in trying to stay in their homes, says Bill Johnston-Walsh, AARP Pennsylvania’s state director. He says the changes will help more Pennsylvanians age in place.
