CHEYENNE – AARP Wyoming encourages you to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Social Security with a free picnic at Lion’s Park in Cheyenne on Aug. 13.

The picnic will run from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and take place at the South Picnic Shelter near the Botanic Gardens inside Lion’s Park. Signs will point participants to the party which will be catered by Dickie’s Barbacue and feature chicken, rolls, brisket and dessert.

The picnic is free, but registration is required so AARP Wyoming can order enough food. Registration can be done by clicking here or call 1-877-926-8300. There is no need to be an AARP member or over age 50 to participate.

Bring your friends, family, and a picnic blanket for an afternoon filled with delicious food, fun lawn games, including Social Security Bingo, engaging conversations, and community connection. Learn how Social Security has supported generations and continues to secure the future for Americans 50+. This event honors the past while embracing the promise of tomorrow.
