UPDATE 8/3/22

Continue reading for a message from State Director Nancy McPherson on the decision by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors:

On behalf of more than 640,000 members in Los Angeles County, AARP California thanks the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for the decision to retain 211 LA as the provider of information and referral services for LA County, a decision that acknowledges the voices and interests of vulnerable populations who rely on a human connection for personalized support. 211 LA’s Community Resource Advisors will help ensure that thousands of county residents stay connected to trusted and relevant referral services as we continue to deal with serious public health challenges and uncertain circumstances. We also thank the thousands of AARP activists who contacted their Supervisors in support of this effort.

If you are a family caregiver in Los Angeles County, dial 2-1-1 today and ask for Ayudando a Quien Ayuda—Helping the Helper to learn about support services. Visit www.aarp.org/HelpingTheHelper to learn more.
