Support IL Prescription Drug Affordability Board to Keep Rx Costs Low

Posted on 02/05/24

Did you know that many states have Prescription Drug Affordability Boards (PDABs) that help keep prescription drug prices down?

An Illinois PDAB has just been proposed and is under consideration during the 2024 legislative session. If passed by the Illinois legislature, a PDAB would be a significant step towards improving healthcare affordability and access for seniors and potentially leading to long-term economic and health benefits for the state of Illinois.

AARP Illinois supports keeping the cost of prescription drugs low, especially for people 50 years of age or older, many of whom struggle to afford necessary and life-saving medications.

That is why we support the creation of a PDAB here in Illinois, and we need YOUR help to make it happen!
