Summer Cooking Series: Herbs and Spices

GREENSBORO, NC -- The Summer Nutrition & Cooking Series presented by AARP in the Triad is for anyone who wants to make nutrition a top priority this summer by learning more about herbs and spices, and finding inspiration for cooking more.

Join us for three fun sessions that will provide practical information and flavorful ideas to lure you into the kitchen and make your summer special.

Led by Cindy Silver, a local registered dietitian, each session will lead participants through simple steps on how to create delicious and healthy meals with a twist.  Participant will also receive the recipes demonstrated in each class.

July 13, 2022: Herbs & Spices: The Basics for Your Kitchen this Summer
Explore the world of herbs and spices with a focus on what to use in your kitchen this summer. The recipe demos will be Fresh Herb Bread and Dried Spice Rub.

July 20, 2022: Herbs & Spices: Delicious Grill Marinades and Salads for Summer
Discover new ideas for making grill marinades and creative summer salads. The recipe demos will be Balsamic & Herb Marinade; and Traditional Greek Salad.

July 27, 2022: Herbs & Spices: An Easy Dessert & Hydrating Beverages for Summer
Enjoy learning how to use herbs and spices in a tasty dessert and cool summer beverages. The recipe demos will be Easy Baked Custard; and Herb-Flavored Summer Beverages
