Speak Out on the Duke Energy Rate Case

Duke Energy Carolinas (DEC) filed an application to increase its rates by approximately 12.8% with the Public Service Commission of South Carolina (PSC) in January 2024. If approved, the average Residential consumer's monthly bill would increase by $17.83 per month in the first and second years -- and an additional $6.43 per month in the third year. The case is scheduled to be considered by the PSC beginning May 20, 2024, with new rates effective August 1, 2024.

  1. Fill out a Letter of Protest here on the PSC’s website
  2. Attend Public Hearings and Testify
    Consumers will be able to participate and let the Commissioners hear their concerns.
