Granite State winters can be long and isolating, especially as people limit going out during the COVID-19 pandemic. We need to stay connected!

That’s why AARP New Hampshire’s Speakers Bureau is helping residents across the state connect without leaving the comfort and safety of their homes. Speakers can address a variety of topics, such as fraud, caregiving, brain health, downsizing and sorting fact from fiction online.

“If you’re looking for a presentation for your community group or business, just reach out to us, and we’ll work with you to select the perfect topic for your audience and time frame,” said Pam Dube, communications director for AARP New Hampshire.

The Speakers Bureau—which is operating virtually but may restart in-person events in 2022—has collaborated with libraries, senior centers, veterans groups and multicultural organizations. AARP recruits and trains volunteer speakers for the presentations, which are FREE and ideal for groups of 10 or more. Talks run 30 to 60 minutes depending on the topic you select and will be delivered to your audience via Zoom.

Volunteers are also welcome to help behind the scenes. The time commitment is flexible, and AARP New Hampshire staff will work with volunteers’ schedules.

Email nhaarp@aarp.org or call 866-542-8168 to book a presentation or to volunteer.
