Join AARP Kansas in August for a series of conversations about social isolation, what it is and how it is impacting older Kansans, especially during the global pandemic. AARP Kansas has been partnering with the Kansas Health Institute (KHI) for our Facebook Live events to talk about social isolation.

In the most recent event, Host Andrea Bozarth, AARP Kansas Outreach and Advocacy Director, was joined by KHI senior analyst Phillip Steiner, and Joyce White, who has experienced social isolation, to discuss the impacts social isolation can have on health and wellbeing and how health care professionals can play a role in supporting patients who may be experiencing it.

Upcoming conversations and topics are:

  • Aug. 12 -- social isolation and health disparities.
  • Aug. 19 -- social isolation and open spaces
  • Aug. 26 -- social isolation and caregiving

Check out the recordings or sign up for the live events on the AARP Kansas Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AARPKS/
