The Illinois Commerce Commission is currently considering a proposal from Nicor that would raise customers’ gas rates by $316 million.

If approved, this would be the largest gas hike in Illinois history and customer rates are expected to rise by more than $90 a year.

The Illinois Commerce Commission is holding a public hearing to learn how people feel about rate hikes requested by Nicor Gas. AARP Illinois requested these public hearings so that the voices of ratepayers like you would be heard.
