Sign the petition against the Nicor Gas hike!

The Illinois Commerce Commission is currently considering a proposal from Nicor that would raise customers’ water rates by $316 million.

If approved, this would be the largest gas hike in Illinois history and customer rates are expected to rise by more than $90 a year.

Gas is essential for you and all Illinois residents. Many are already struggling to pay their utility bills along with other necessities like food, medicine and housing.

That’s why AARP Illinois is calling for you to help fight against Nicor's proposal to raise your rates. On behalf of Illinois residents 50 plus, AARP opposes rate increases that benefit Nicor's bottom line on the backs of residential customers like you.
