Rock Out at Pig Roast’s Tribute to Hair Bands

Posted on 03/31/20 by Katie Pohlman

UPDATE:
We are saddened to share that the KSHE Pig Roast at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on June 7th has been cancelled. While many of us may have expected this decision, it is still disappointing. We would have been treated to a great night of amazing music and big hair! Stay tuned for future opportunities with AARP in St. Louis.

Take a night this summer to jam to your favorite hair bands at KSHE-95’s annual pig roast and meet the radio station’s porcine mascot, Sweetmeat.

This year’s theme is the Hair Edition. Enjoy live music from headliners Alice Cooper, Tesla, Lita Ford, Dokken and others.

For the second time in the pig roast’s history, AARP in St. Louis is sponsoring the popular outdoor event.

Performances will take place on two stages, starting at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre at 14141 Riverport Drive in Maryland Heights.

Visit the AARP tent to check out the photo booth, where attendees can pose with Sweetmeat, clad in his trademark sunglasses and headphones.

Get some swag, and learn about what AARP in St. Louis is doing in the community.

Members who show their AARP card will receive an additional special gift, said Sheila Holm, community outreach director for AARP in St. Louis.

“It will be a perfect night to let your hair down and enjoy great music with AARP and 20,000 of your closest St. Louis friends,” Holm said.

Ticket prices start at $19.95 but vary by seating location.
